SEMICONDUCTOR PROGRAMMING TECHNICIAN / SUPERVISOR

Position Summary

This is a production and supervisory position in which the person will prioritize programming manufacturing jobs, supervise a small crew of operators while also participating in the programming process. This is a hourly position from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
(Monday through Friday). This position reports to the Programming Department Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

* Oversee Programming production
* Prioritize Work-In-Process (WIP)  
* Manage & monitor Programming WIP
* Operate Programming equipment and make machine changeovers as required for different jobs

Requirements

* Strong electro-mechanical trouble shooting skills  
* Knowledge on the operation of BP Microsystems Automatio Machines            
* Minimum 5 years production experience in the operation of programming equipment
* Manufacturing, semiconductor and/or electronics/technology industry experience required
* Good customer service and phone etiquette skills required
* Must have very good computer and typing skills
* Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
* Proficient with Excel, Word & Outlook
* Personality and “fit” are critical.
* Candidate should have excellent communication skills, be team-oriented, be trustworthy and have a positive attitude.
* No on-going travel requirements except for special situations

BGA TECHNICIAN

Position Summary

There is much hands-on experience & responsibility in the areas of BGA reballing, Ball Attach & IC recovery from boards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Equipment set up & change over
  • Equipment trouble shoot
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Supervise staff
  • Review package outline drawings
  • Match up package outline drawings to tooling
  • Generate drawings for tooling sets
  • Verify tooling to print
  • Interface with suppliers for tooling orders
  • Interface with other technicians, production planner, QC, sales & other staff
  • Reports to the operations manager

Requirements

  • Highly desirable 2+ years of experience working in the semiconductor industry in a BGA environment handling ball attach or BGA reballing applications
  • Experience with standard & micro BGA’s
  • Experience with oven profiling
  • Experience with semi automated screen printers
  • Experience with flux & paste applications
  • Experience with flux screens & paste stencils
  • Experience with in line cleaners
  • Electro Mechanical skills
  • Excel, Word skills
  • CAD a plus
  • Personality and “fit” is key – should be communicative, team-oriented, trustworthy and have a positive attitude
  • Very little travel – 2 weeks a year
